Partial characterization and time course analysis of Hymenolepis diminuta coproantigens
Journal of Helminthology, 1994AbstractAn analysis of Hymenolepis diminuta specific antigens in infected rat faeces was carried out. Using a capture type antibody sandwich ELISA assay based on a hyperimmune rabbit anti-worm somatic antisera it was demonstrated that, although antigen was present in faeces before patency, the onset of egg production led to a sharp increase in the ...

[Detection of coproantigens in parasitic diseases].
Wiadomosci parazytologiczne, 1995The author presented general issues in detecting of parasite's coproantigens and carried out a critical review of abstracts submitted to the scientific session (17th Congress of the Polish Parasitological Society, September 1994, Gdynia, Poland). The abstracts are being published in a special edition of the "Methodical and Organisational Bulletin ...

Evaluation of Capillaria philippinensis coproantigen in the diagnosis of infection.
Journal of the Egyptian Society of Parasitology, 2004In order to overcome the false negative diagnosis of infection with C. philippinesis at time of absence of eggs in stool, coproantigen prepared from stools of infected patients was evaluated serologically. This antigen was able to detect anti-Capillaria antibodies in the sera of infected cases at the same OD level produced with Capillaria crude worm ...

Evaluation of coproantigen diagnosis for natural Echinococcus multilocularis infection in red foxes.
The Japanese journal of veterinary research, 1999The validity of a coproantigen ELISA for Echinococcus multilocularis was evaluated by comparison of three diagnostic methods; autopsy, egg examination and the ELISA. Of 71 foxes, 39 were found to be infected with the cestode at autopsy. The overall mean of worm burdens was 3,451, but the number varied (1-34,522). The ELISA could detect 94.9% (37/39) of

Evaluation of Echinococcus granulosus coproantigens by Dot-blotting in dogs
2009Summary Definitive hosts of the Echinococcus granulosus (E. granulosus) parasite are carnivores such as dogs, wolves and foxes. Detection of this parasite through faecal examination is not possible. In this study, dotblotting test for E. granulosus-specific coproantigens has been evaluated in dog.
