ABSTRACT In several articles, McCall and Lowe have claimed that endurantism and perdurantism are “equivalent.” From this, they conclude that there is no fact of the matter as to whether we live in an endurantist world or in a perdurantist world. In this paper, I use the notion of Morita equivalence to show in which precise sense, McCall and Lowe's ...

The growing consumption of green coconut - fresh and industrialized - in Brazil generates a large volume of wastes and coproducts that justifies the search for alternatives for their use in animal feeding.

Assessing the climate impacts of oat straw as a raw material
Straw is an interesting renewable feedstock for various high-value products, such as textile fibers. However, straw encompass to soils maintains a good soil structure, fertility, and carbon storage.

Hopf algebras, coproducts and symbols: an application to Higgs boson amplitudes
We show how the Hopf algebra structure of multiple polylogarithms can be used to simplify complicated expressions for multi-loop amplitudes in perturbative quantum field theory and we argue that, unlike the recently popularized symbol-based approach, the

The ∞$\infty$‐categorical reflection theorem and applications
Abstract We prove an ∞$\infty$‐categorical version of the reflection theorem of AdÁmek and Rosický [Arch. Math. 25 (1989), no. 1, 89–94]. Namely, that a full subcategory of a presentable ∞$\infty$‐category that is closed under limits and κ$\kappa$‐filtered colimits is a presentable ∞$\infty$‐category.

Various unsymmetric bis(heteroaryl) selenides are synthesized by the rhodium‐catalyzed exchange reaction of heteroaryl fluorides and ethers with Se‐heteroaryl 1‐adamatanecarboselenoates. The synthetic method is applicable to a broad range of five‐ and six‐membered heteroaryl derivatives and provides compounds containing multiple heteroatoms.

Coproducts and the cd-Index [PDF]
Given that classes of posets, even well-behaved ones such as Eulerian posets, usually exhibit complex if not confusing behavior when it comes to the computation of interesting invariants for these classes and the posets they contain, it is always of interest when improved interpretation in a suitable setting leads to an extension of technique whence ...

Recent Advances in Mediator and Proton Relay Usage in Molecular Catalysis
The use of electron–proton transfer mediators, redox mediators, and proton relays in synergy with molecular catalysts in energy‐related small‐molecule and organic transformations is discussed, with a focus on recent advances. Linear free‐energy relationship and catalytic Tafel plots provide a systematic foundation for benchmarking these catalytic ...

Assessment of sand stabilization potential of a plant-derived biomass
Lignin is a coproduct of biofuel and paper industries, which exhibits binding qualities when mixed with water. Lignin is an ideal candidate for a sustainable stabilization of unpaved roads. To this end, an experimental program was devised and carried out

The monomial basis and the $Q$-basis of the Hopf algebra of parking functions
Consider the vector space $\mathbb{K}\mathcal{P}$ spanned by parking functions. By representing parking functions as labeled digraphs, Hivert, Novelli and Thibon constructed a cocommutative Hopf algebra PQSym$^{*}$ on $\mathbb{K}\mathcal{P}$. The product
