Z‐Scheme Water Splitting Systems Based on Solid‐State Electron Conductors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review examines the latest advances in Z‐scheme overall water splitting (OWS) systems for solar hydrogen production. These systems consist of suspended or immobilized hydrogen evolution photocatalysts (HEPs) and oxygen evolution photocatalysts (OEPs).

A Novel DNA Repair Disorder With Thrombocytopenia, Nephrosis, and Features Overlapping Cockayne Syndrome [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We report on four siblings with Cockayne-like syndrome with thrombocytopenia and nephrotic syndrome. The parents were healthy and consanguineous, consistent with an autosomal recessive mode of disease inheritance.

Low-energy electron scattering by deoxyribose and related molecules [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We apply first-principles computational methods to study elastic scattering of low-energy electrons by 2-deoxyribose and 2-deoxyribose monophosphate, which are of interest as components of the DNA backbone, and to tetrahydrofuran (THF), which has been ...

Clean‐Limit 2D Superconductivity in a Thick Exfoliated Kagome Film

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study reports clean‐limit 2D superconductivity in a thick kagome system, analogous to the 3D case. It observes a drop in superfluid stiffness near the superconducting transition and a cusp‐like feature in the angular dependence of the upper critical field.
