Anaplasma sp. DNA was detected in 47.9% of free‐ranging coatis (Nasua nasua) sampled in Iguaçu National Park, southern Brazil. Molecular analyses revealed a genetically distinct Anaplasma lineage infecting coatis, differing from Anaplasma strains detected in associated tick populations.

Considerações sobre a ética nas relações investigador/promotor de investigação.
The performance of Clinical Trials can give rise to ethical problems especially between the researchers and the promotors but sometimes also with those who are in charge of the publication of results. Medicine and the Pharmaceutical Industry must face up

Oral Tongue Squamous Cell Carcinoma in Young Adults in Brazil: Temporal Trends From 2013 to 2023
ABSTRACT Background This study aimed to analyze the temporal trends of oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma (OTSCC) in Brazil from 2013 to 2023, comparing young adults (20 to 44 years) to older adults (≥ 45 years). Methods Sex, age, staging, year, and Federative Unit of diagnosis were evaluated for all cases registered under the ICD‐C02 code in a public

The Surprising Bias of PPML Estimates of Structural Gravity Models With Two‐Way Fixed Effects
ABSTRACT The previous literature has shown that the Poisson Pseudo‐Maximum Likelihood (PPML) estimator provides consistent and asymptotically unbiased estimates of the parameters of structural gravity models with two‐way fixed effects, although their standard errors need correction.

Abstract figure legend A study described in this paper describes a new tool for hiPSC‐CM electromechanical behaviour simulations using mathematical modelling. The model enables in silico assays making drug testing quick, comprehensive and accurate. New hiPSC‐CM models can be used as a platform to integrate in vitro and in silico findings.

The impacts of biological invasions
ABSTRACT The Anthropocene is characterised by a continuous human‐mediated reshuffling of the distributions of species globally. Both intentional and unintentional introductions have resulted in numerous species being translocated beyond their native ranges, often leading to their establishment and subsequent spread – a process referred to as biological

Abstract Background and Purpose Human induced pluripotent stem cell‐derived cardiomyocytes (hiPSC‐CM) have gained interest as a pharmacological model but their immaturity leads to uncertainty regarding translation. We studied the key player in maintaining ionic homeostasis, the Na+/K+‐ATPase (NKA), in hiPSC‐CM.

Advances in Electrocardiogram‐Based Non‐Invasive Blood Glucose Monitoring Technology
ABSTRACT Blood glucose monitoring is fundamental to diabetes management, yet traditional invasive methods are limited by patient discomfort and infection risks. In recent years, electrocardiogram (ECG), a conventional tool for cardiovascular assessment, has gained attention as a prospective method for non‐invasive blood glucose monitoring.
