MagNet: A Machine Learning Framework for Magnetic Core Loss Modeling
Compel, 2020This paper presents a two-stage machine learning framework – MagNet – for magnetic core loss modeling. The first stage of MagNet is a waveform transformation network, which generates 2-D images (tensors) and extracts both the frequency and time domain ...

IEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print), 2020
Core-loss calculation is an important issue in the design and analysis of electric machines, especially in high-speed applications. However, because of the severe uneven distribution and local supersaturation of the flux density, in combination with the ...

Abstract After copper losses, core losses are generally the second largest component of power loss or inefficiency in the brushless motor, although their significance may become overriding at very high speeds. They arise from the variation of magnetic flux-density throughout the core, particularly the stator core.

Hollow Core DNANF Optical Fiber with <0.11 dB/km Loss
Optical Fiber Communications Conference and ExhibitionWe report the fabrication of a hollow-core DNANF with a geometry extensively optimized for minimum loss. Three independent loss measurements average 0.08±0.03 dB/km at 1550 nm, the lowest attenuation ever achieved in an optical fiber.

Toward quantitative core-loss EFTEM tomography
Ultramicroscopy, 2011Core-loss EFTEM tomography provides three-dimensional structural and chemical information. Multiple inelastic scattering occurring in thick specimens as well as orientation-dependent diffraction contrast due to multiple elastic scattering, however, often limit its applications.

Core losses in partial core transformers
2022The University of Canterbury High Voltage Laboratory frequently uses partial core resonant transformers to conduct high voltage testing within the New Zealand power industry. These transformers utilise a non-standard core design in which flux is not constrained around the entirety of its path.

Core Losses Separation of Amorphous Alloy Core
Materials Science Forum, 2016In this paper, the core losses of Fe80Si9B11, Fe78Si9B13 amorphous alloy cores were separated to investigate the behaviors of hysteresis loss, eddy current loss and additional loss in high frequency range. The results showed that the losses of amorphous alloy core were mainly composed of hysteresis loss in low frequency. With the increase of frequency,

Error analysis of high frequency core loss measurement for low-permeability low-loss magnetic cores
2016 IEEE 2nd Annual Southern Power Electronics Conference (SPEC), 2016Magnetic components significantly contribute to the dissipated loss in power electronic converters. Measuring the true value of dissipated power in these components is highly desirable, since it can be used to verify the optimum design of these components.
