Programmable Mobile Core Network

As a result, operators started deployment of Long Term Evolution (LTE)/ Evolved Packet core (EPC) network. However, current LTE/EPC architecture, functions and protocols are not optimized.

Energy-efficient core networks
2012 16th International Conference on Optical Network Design and Modelling (ONDM), 2012In this paper, we optimize core networks to minimize the embodied energy and the operational energy and introduce two measures for energy minimization in core content distribution networks: data compression in optical networks and locality in P2P networks.

Core-Periphery Trading Networks
SSRN Electronic Journal, 2016This paper provides a theory of endogenous network formation in over-the-counter markets based on trade competition and inventory risk balancing. A core-periphery network structure arises as an equilibrium outcome. A small number of agents emerge as core dealers to intermediate among a large number of peripheral agents.
