A neural Entity Coreference Resolution review [PDF]

open access: yesExpert Systems with Applications, 2021
Entity Coreference Resolution is the task of resolving all mentions in a document that refer to the same real world entity and is considered as one of the most difficult tasks in natural language understanding. It is of great importance for downstream natural language processing tasks such as entity linking, machine translation, summarization, chatbots,

End to End Chinese Coreference Resolution with Structural Information [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji gongcheng, 2020
On the basis of the end to end coreference resolution model proposed by LEE et al.,this paper further considers the characteristics of Chinese writing and proposes a Chinese coreference resolution model with structural information. The constituency tree ...

Anaphora and coreference resolution: A review [PDF]

open access: yesInformation Fusion, 2020
Entity resolution aims at resolving repeated references to an entity in a document and forms a core component of natural language processing (NLP) research. This field possesses immense potential to improve the performance of other NLP fields like machine translation, sentiment analysis, paraphrase detection, summarization, etc.

Coreference Resolution for Improving Performance Measures of Classification Tasks

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
There are several possibilities to improve classification in natural language processing tasks. In this article, we focused on the issue of coreference resolution that was applied to a manually annotated dataset of true and fake news.

Research on Coreference Resolution Based on Chinese Frame Semantics [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji gongcheng, 2020
Reasoning based on frame semantics is an effective means to achieve semantic understanding in tasks such as discourse comprehension and QA system. It finds the inferential path by constructing connections between the frames of sentences in Chinese texts ...

Multilingual coreference resolution [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the sixth conference on Applied natural language processing -, 2000
In this paper we present a new, multilingual data-driven method for coreference resolution as implemented in the SWIZZLE system. The results obtained after training this system on a bilingual corpus of English and Romanian tagged texts, outperformed coreference resolution in each of the individual languages.

Word-Level Coreference Resolution [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 2021 Conference on Empirical Methods in Natural Language Processing, 2021
Recent coreference resolution models rely heavily on span representations to find coreference links between word spans. As the number of spans is $O(n^2)$ in the length of text and the number of potential links is $O(n^4)$, various pruning techniques are necessary to make this approach computationally feasible.

Collaborative Partitioning for Coreference Resolution [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 21st Conference on Computational Natural Language Learning (CoNLL 2017), 2017
This paper presents a collaborative partitioning algorithm—a novel ensemble-based approach to coreference resolution. Starting from the all-singleton partition, we search for a solution close to the ensemble’s outputs in terms of a task-specific similarity measure.
