Properties of the haemolymph of the corn earworm
Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part B: Comparative Biochemistry, 1972Abstract 1. 1. We determined values for several properties of the haemolymph of the corn earworm, Heliothis zea (Boddie) and compared them with previously reported results for Lepidoptera. 2. 2. The concentrations of Na, K, Mg, Ca, Cl were found to be about 23, 37, 68, 3 and 25 mM. 3. 3. The total osmolality was about 338 mOsmole.

Control of Corn Earworm on Sweet Corn, 1991
Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1992Abstract Sweet corn was planted 6 Jun with rows spaced 30 inches apart and 10-12 inches between plants. Plots consisted of 4 rows, 30 ft long replicated 4 times in a randomized complete block design. Silk sprays were applied with a Hi-Boy selfpowered boom sprayer with 4 (TJet 8001) nozzles set 76 inches off the ground and centered on the

Corn (Sweet), Corn Earworm Control, 1979
Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1980Abstract 'Trucker's Favorite' sweet corn was planted on May 29 near Benson, NC. Single-row plots 20-ft long were replicated 4 times in a randomized complete block design with 5 -ft alleys between replications. One maintenance spray combining Sevin and Lannate was made prior to start of test.

Foliar Sprays to Control the Corn Earworm, European Corn Borer and Corn Earworm in Sweet Corn
Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1976Abstract ‘N & K 199’ sweet corn was planted, 10 inch spacing in 3 ft rows, on June 1, 1975. Treatment plots were replicated 3 times and arranged in a randomized block design. Each plot consisted of three 25 ft long rows with a single untreated row adjacent to each treatment plot. Insecticides were applied to the ear area with a D. B.
