Nanotherapeutics possess the potential to overcome longstanding bottlenecks in treating degenerative ophthalmic diseases. With a highly tunable surface chemistry, nanotechnology platforms can be customized to navigate specific anatomical barriers in the eye and target pathways of diseases.

A 2‐year‐old male neutered domestic shorthair cat with bacterial pyothorax was referred to a tertiary hospital for treatment of sepsis. He met criteria for multiple organ dysfunction syndrome and developed new‐onset neurological dysfunction subsequent to the development of sepsis.

Background and Purpose The pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM)‐induced cardiomyopathy involves cardiac fibrosis that leads to diastolic dysfunction. We established that replacement of lost substance P (SP) that occurs in T2DM reduces cardiac fibrosis and decreases inflammation in T2DM mice and non‐human primates.
