Proceedings of IEEE Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 2002
A method is presented to correct an approximate polygonal sketch of an image object boundary by adjusting the location of each corner point in the sketch. The method is suitable for the segmentation of unknown images using interactive techniques, and for locating object boundaries in model-based segmentation.

Multi-resolution corner detection
Proceedings 2000 International Conference on Image Processing (Cat. No.00CH37101), 2002In this paper we propose a novel technique for wavelet-based multi-resolution corner detection. The method is based on a search of the zero crossings of the Laplacian at different scales along the line that describes the trajectory of the maxima as the scale varies.

Wavelet based corner detection
Pattern Recognition, 1993Abstract A non-parametric algorithm for detecting and locating corners of planar curves is proposed. The algorithm is based on the multiscale wavelet transform of the orientation of the curve which can effectively utilize both the information of local extrema positions and magnitudes of the transform results.

An improved algorithm for corner detection
Proceedings of 2011 International Conference on Electronic & Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology, 2011Since detection result is not good enough when detecting real image using line search mechanism corner detection algorithm, a feature selection criterion based on priority and adaptive non-maximal suppression (ANMS) is proposed in this paper to control the number and density of features in the image.

Detecting Corners for 3D Objects
International Journal of Computer Vision and Image Processing, 2011In this paper, a corner detection algorithm for 3D objects is presented. This algorithm is an extension of corner detection scheme for planar objects (Chetrikov & Zsabo, 1999). This algorithm finds corners and other high curvature points for 3D objects.

Morphological corner detection
Sixth International Conference on Computer Vision (IEEE Cat. No.98CH36271), 2002This paper presents a new operator for corner detection. This operator uses a variant of the morphological closing operator, which we have called asymmetrical closing. It consists of the successive application of different morphological transformations using different structuring elements.

Moment-preserving corner detection
Pattern Recognition, 1990Abstract A new corner detection method based on the principle of preserving gray and mass moments is proposed. For each circular region in a digital image, bilevel thresholding based on gray moment preserving is used first to transform the blurred subimage in the region into a binary picture.

Corner detection with covariance propagation
Proceedings of IEEE Computer Society Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 2002This paper presents a statistical approach for detecting corners from chain encoded digital arcs. An arc point is declared as a corner if the estimated parameters of the two fitted lines of the two arc segments immediately to the right and left of the are point are statistically significantly different.

Ridge's corner detection and correspondence
Proceedings of IEEE Computer Society Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 2002Traditionally, corners are found along step edges. In this paper we present an alternative approach-corners along ridges/troughs and local minima points. These features seem to be more reliable for tracking. A new approach for sub-pixel localization of these corners is suggested, using a local approximation of the image surface.
