The triggered behavior of a controlled corona stabilised cascade switch [PDF]
Corona stabilised switches have been shown to have advantages in pulse power switching applications due to their high repetition rates and low jitter.

ABSTRACT Objective This study aimed to systematically observe the clinical manifestations, immune cell subsets, and dynamic changes in serological indicators in patients with myasthenia gravis (MG) before and after efgartigimod (EFG) treatment. Methods We analyzed the baseline data, laboratory parameters, and lymphocyte subset proportions in MG ...

Understanding the Lipid and Protein Corona Formation on Different Sized Polymeric Nanoparticles
When in contact with biological fluids, nanoparticles dynamically absorb biomolecules like proteins and lipids onto their surface, forming a “corona”.

Hospital Readmission After Traumatic Brain Injury Hospitalization in Community‐Dwelling Older Adults
ABSTRACT Objective To examine the risk of hospital readmission after an index hospitalization for TBI in older adults. Methods Using data from the Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities (ARIC) study, we used propensity score matching of individuals with an index TBI‐related hospitalization to individuals with (1) non‐TBI hospitalizations (primary analysis)

Are the jets accelerated from the disk coronas in some active galactic nuclei?
We use a sample of radio-loud active galactic nuclei (AGNs) with estimated central black hole masses to explore their jet formation mechanisms. The jet power of AGNs is estimated from their extended radio luminosity.

Nanoparticles-cell association predicted by protein corona fingerprints [PDF]
In a physiological environment (e.g., blood and interstitial fluids) nanoparticles (NPs) will bind proteins shaping a "protein corona" layer. The long-lived protein layer tightly bound to the NP surface is referred to as the hard corona (HC) and encodes ...

ABSTRACT Objective Status epilepticus (SE) is associated with significant mortality. Sleep architecture may reflect normal brain function. Impaired sleep architecture is associated with poorer outcomes in numerous conditions. Here we investigate the association of sleep architecture in continuous EEG (cEEG) with survival in SE.

Compensating Faraday depolarization by magnetic helicity in the solar corona
A turbulent dynamo in spherical geometry with an outer corona is simulated to study the sign of magnetic helicity in the outer parts. In agreement with earlier studies, the sign in the outer corona is found to be opposite to that inside the dynamo.
