Coronary artery aneurysm: A review

Progress in Cardiovascular Diseases, 1997
Coronary artery aneurysm is defined as coronary dilatation which exceeds the diameter of normal adjacent segments or the diameter of the patient's largest coronary vessel by 1.5 times. This is an uncommon disease which has been diagnosed with increasing frequency since the advent of coronary angiography.

MDCT of Coronary Artery Aneurysms

American Journal of Roentgenology, 2005
oronary artery aneurysms are characterized by an abnormal dilatation of a localized portion of the coronary artery [1, 2]. Coronary artery aneurysms are typically diagnosed incidentally on coronary angiography. With the development of increasingly sophisticated CT technology such as MDCT, the potential exists for a noninvasive alternative to evaluate ...

Dissecting Aneurysms of the Coronary Artery

New England Journal of Medicine, 1965
ANEURYSMS of the coronary arteries are decidedly uncommon. They comprise congenital, mycoticembolic, syphilitic, polyarteritis-nodosa, arteriosclerotic and dissecting types. Of these, arteriosclerotic aneurysms and those resulting from polyarteritis nodosa are the most common whereas dissecting aneurysms are very rare.

Localized Aneurysms of the Coronary Arteries

Radiology, 1967
Coronary artery aneurysms discussed in the literature include generalized dilatation of the arteries associated with venous communications (1, 21, 23, 36, 41), dissecting aneurysms (5), and localized aneurysms (4, 8, 14, 40). To the best of our knowledge, of the 70 cases of localized aneurysms of the coronary arteries presented to date (4, 7, 17, 18 ...

Posttraumatic coronary artery aneurysm

The Annals of Thoracic Surgery, 1995
A 31-year-old man sustained blunt deceleration trauma with dissection of the left anterior descending coronary artery. We repaired a posttraumatic coronary aneurysm to prevent late occlusion of the recanalized vessel. An internal mammary artery graft was applied as a precaution against postoperative thrombosis.
