Magnetic Resonance Imaging Clinics of North America, 1996
MR angiography of the coronary arteries became possible in 1991 with the development of a new group of fast MR imaging sequences. Although the role of coronary MR angiography in screening for coronary artery lesions has not yet been established, coronary MR angiography already has been very successful in the detection of coronary artery variants and ...

Rotational Coronary Angiography
Cardiology Clinics, 2009The numerous well-documented limitations of standard fixed-acquisition coronary angiography led to the development of rotational angiography. This acquisition method uses automated gantry movements while numerous angiographic projections are obtained, and thus overcomes many of the limitations of standard angiography.

Technique of Coronary Angiography
Acta Radiologica. Diagnosis, 1976A new manufacturing process and new shapes of the left and right catheters for coronary angiography by the transfemoral route increase the safety of the examination by reducing the time and avoiding the risks involved in catheter occlusion of the arteries. The simultaneous filling of the sinus and the whole coronary artery from its origin increases the

Quantitative coronary angiography
Clinical Physics and Physiological Measurement, 1990While the value of the quantitation of image data often appears to be self evident, it is important to consider the use to which it is to be put before adopting one particular approach. The importance of this concept is illustrated by reference to coronary angiography.

racics4 and transe~ophageal’~~ echocardiography and computed tomography39* 58 all had limited success in adequately defining both anatomy and function of the coronary circulation. Additionally, stress testing with echocardiographic or nuclear perfusion imaging and positron-emission tomography (PET) are inherently not suitable for anatomic evaluation of

Coronary Angiography with Iopamidol
Acta Radiologica. Diagnosis, 1982Iopamidol, a new non-ionic contrast medium with low osmolality, was compared with Isopaque Coronar during selective coronary angiography in 16 patients. Iopamidol caused significantly less bradycardia, less ECG changes and less fall in blood pressure than Isopaque Coronar.

Coronary Angiography: Beyond Coronary Anatomy
Revista Española de Cardiología (English Edition), 2006Although technical advances enable normal epicardial coronary artery blood flow to be restored in most patients suffering myocardial infarction, restoration of blood flow is not always followed by improved myocardial perfusion. Recently, therefore, interest in the assessment of myocardial perfusion has grown, and a number of different assessment ...

Coronary angiography – A curative procedure?
Medical Hypotheses, 2012There is increasing evidence, currently mainly subjective that, in addition to the diagnostic role; coronary angiography may have some degree of therapeutic effect, at least in some patients. Patients' experiences and known biological properties of the contrast media lend credence to this possibility and should be a spur for proper studies of the ...
