BACKGROUND Thus far, it is unknown whether there is functional collateral flow through preexisting anastomoses in patients with angiographically normal coronary arteries. Such preformed coronary collateral vessels could form the basis for subsequently

Systematic review of the clinical effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of 64-slice or higher computed tomography angiography as an alternative to invasive coronary angiography in the investigation of coronary artery disease [PDF]
Objectives: To assess the clinical effectiveness and cost-effectiveness, in different patient groups, of the use of 64-slice or higher computed tomography (CT) angiography, instead of invasive coronary angiography (CA), for diagnosing people with ...

Coronary Artery Formation Is Driven by Localized Expression of R-spondin3
Coronary arteries are essential to support the heart with oxygen, and coronary heart disease is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. The coronary arteries form at highly stereotyped locations and are derived from the primitive vascular plexus of

The role of large arteries in controlling blood flow to the hand during severe local cooling.
PhDCold vasodilatation describes the increase in blood flow that follows initial vaso constriction when an extremity is exposed to an environment colder than 12'C. It appears to be due mainly to cold paralysis of local resistance vessels.

The biomimetic self‐assembly nanomedicine reversing atherosclerosis via senotherapy strategy. ABSTRACT The greatest challenge in atherosclerosis (AS) management lies in achieving lesion reversal, not merely slowing progression. Senescent cell accumulation—driven by continuous generation and apoptotic resistance—perpetuates plaque pathology and ...
