Novel Electroactive Therapeutic Platforms for Cardiac Arrhythmia Management
Electroactive platforms offer promising applications in cardiac arrhythmia. Based on their energy sources and mechanisms, electroactive platforms are categorized into i) direct electrical stimulation, ii) self‐powered electroactive systems, iii) physical stimuli‐mediated electroactive systems, and iv) conductive systems, and their applications in ...

Management of Left Main Coronary Artery Disease
Left main coronary artery disease (LMCAD) portends higher prognostic risk as a result of the large myocardial territory at risk, ranging from 75% to 100%, depending on the dominance of the left coronary circulation.

Postoperative cardiac adhesions lead to numerous difficulties in reoperation procedures. Here, a thermo‐responsive in situ formed hydrogel is shown to can reliably cover the wounds after a convenient spraying or injection and significantly reduce adhesion formation in primary and recurrent cardiac injury adhesion models.

Relationships between components of blood pressure and cardiovascular events in patients with stable coronary artery disease and hypertension [PDF]
Observational studies have shown a J-shaped relationship between diastolic blood pressure (BP) and cardiovascular events in hypertensive patients with coronary artery disease.

Fractional flow reserve-guided PCI for stable coronary artery disease.
BACKGROUND We hypothesized that in patients with stable coronary artery disease and stenosis, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) performed on the basis of the fractional flow reserve (FFR) would be superior to medical therapy.

Comparison of Clinical Scores for Predicting Stroke‐Associated Pneumonia After Acute Ischemic Stroke
Our study compared the discrimination and calibration of the Kwon Pneumonia Score, A2DS2 score, PANTHERIS score, AIS‐APS score, ISAN score, and PASS score in SAP identification; of these, the AIS‐APS score showed the best performance. ABSTRACT Objectives To compare the discrimination and calibration of six risk scoring systems in the assessment of ...

Combined analysis of coronary arteries and the left ventricular myocardium in cardiac CT angiography for detection of patients with functionally significant stenosis [PDF]
Treatment of patients with obstructive coronary artery disease is guided by the functional significance of a coronary artery stenosis. Fractional flow reserve (FFR), measured during invasive coronary angiography (ICA), is considered the gold standard to define the functional significance of a coronary stenosis.

Elective percutaneous coronary intervention in the elderly patient [PDF]
Elderly patients account for an increasing number and proportion of patients requiring management of coronary artery disease. Whilst medical therapy remains the cornerstone of management, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) has been shown to improve

Aorto-ostial atherosclerotic coronary artery disease—Risk factor profiles, demographic & angiographic features [PDF]
BackgroundThe risk factors along with demographic and angiographic features associated with aorto-ostial atherosclerotic coronary artery disease usually differ from that of non-aorto-ostial atherosclerotic coronary artery disease.ObjectivesThis study was
