Intracoronary Acetylcholine Provocation Testing - Omission of the 20-µg Dose Is Feasible in Patients Without Coronary Artery Spasm in the Other Coronary Artery.

open access: yesCirculation Journal, 2016
BACKGROUND Based on the Japanese Circulation Society guideline of vasospastic angina, incremental doses of acetylcholine (ACh) are prescribed for coronary spasm provocation: 20 and 50 μg for the right coronary artery (RCA), and 20, 50 and 100 μg for the ...

Postoperative Hypocalcemia Following Total Thyroidectomy Versus Completion Thyroidectomy

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, Volume 136, Issue 11, Page 5094-5100, November 2026.
Completion thyroidectomy performed with at least a three‐month interval demonstrates superior parathyroid preservation compared to primary total thyroidectomy, as evidenced by significantly higher postoperative parathyroid hormone levels (51.90 ± 30.26 pg/mL vs. 30.90 ± 17.10 pg/mL, p = 0.006).
