The investigation of relationship between allergic rhinitis with forward head posture and anxiety in children

open access: yesBMC Pediatrics
Introduction Forward head posture is a common postural issue across all age groups, often linked to the overuse of electronic devices such as computers, smartphones, and tablets, leading to poor posture in children. Allergic rhinitis is also prevalent in

ITGAV and SMAD4 influence the progression and clinical outcome of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In SMAD4‐positive pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), integrin subunit alpha V (ITGAV) activates latent TGF‐β, which binds to the TGF‐β receptor and phosphorylates SMAD2/3. The activated SMAD2/3 forms a complex with SMAD4, and together they translocate to the nucleus, modulating gene expression to promote proliferation, migration, and invasion. In

Raphin‐1 mediates the survival and sensitivity to radiation of pediatric‐type diffuse high‐grade glioma via phosphorylated eukaryotic initiation factor 2α‐dependent and ‐independent processes

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Raphin‐1 reduces the survival of PED‐DHGG cells and enhances their radiation sensitivity through both PeIF2α‐dependent and PeIF2α‐independent mechanisms. Raphin‐1 sustains elevated levels of PeIF2α, contributing to its PeIF2α‐dependent effects. Additionally, raphin‐1 interacts with CReP to mediate a separate radiosensitizing pathway that operates ...

Machine learning for identifying liver and pancreas cancers through comprehensive serum glycopeptide spectra analysis: a case‐control study

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study presents a novel AI‐based diagnostic approach—comprehensive serum glycopeptide spectra analysis (CSGSA)—that integrates tumor markers and enriched glycopeptides from serum. Using a neural network model, this method accurately distinguishes liver and pancreatic cancers from healthy individuals.

The effect of low‐intensity suspension training with blood flow restriction on GH, IGF‐1, and their association with physical fitness in young women

open access: yesPhysiological Reports
Blood flow restriction (BFR) has been incorporated in resistance training for over 20 years. We aimed to investigate the impact of low‐intensity suspension training with BFR (LIST+BFR) on GH, IGF‐1, and their association with physical fitness in young ...
