An FIR Notch Filter for Adaptive Filtering of a Sinusoid in Correlated Noise [PDF]

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2006
A novel adaptive FIR filter for the estimation of a single-tone sinusoid corrupted by additive noise is described. The filter is based on an offline optimization procedure which, for a given notch frequency, computes the filter coefficients such that the frequency response is unity at that frequency and a weighted noise gain is minimized.

A Bibliometric Analysis of Publications in Uremic Toxins From 1991 to 2024

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Uremic toxins are a growing area of research in nephrology, with significant implications in the progression and treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the management of end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD). This bibliometric analysis aims to evaluate the global research trends, key contributors, and the impact of publications in ...

Prognosis of Long‐Term Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy and the Impact of Combined Continuous Intravenous Sodium Infusion Therapy

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Patients requiring long‐term continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) generally have poor prognoses. This study evaluated whether adding continuous intravenous sodium infusion (cIVNa) is associated with improved hemodynamics and outcomes in patients undergoing long‐term CRRT for ≥ 7 days.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Energy Projection in Polynomial Correlation Filters

open access: yesJournal of King Saud University: Engineering Sciences, 2002
In this paper we present a new version of the polynomial correlation filter (PCF) called constrained polynomial correlation filter (CPCF). We investigate the performance of this filter in the presence of clutter noise.

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Constrained quadratic correlation filters for target detection

open access: yes, 2004
A method for designing and implementing quadratic correlation filters (QCFs) for shift-invariant target detection in imagery is presented. The QCFs are quadratic classifiers that operate directly on the image data without feature extraction or ...

Tracking With CNN Based Correlation Filters on Spherical Manifolds

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
The correlation filters tracker allows features from multiple channels. The fusion of features by simply summing over them in an Euclidean space would destroy the inherent geometry among multiple features, resulting in the lose of their phase information

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an
