Face detection using correlation filters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
2013 Fall.Includes bibliographical references.Cameras are ubiquitous and available all around us. As a result, images and videos are posted online in huge numbers. These images often need to be stored and analyzed.

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Pattern recognition, inner products and correlation filters [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
In this paper, we review correlation filters as an approach to pattern recognition with a special emphasis on the consequences of normalizing the correlation to achieve intensity invariance.

Correlation filters for detection of cellular nuclei in histopathology images [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Nuclei detection in histology images is an essential part of computer aided diagnosis of cancers and tumors. It is a challenging task due to diverse and complicated structures of cells.

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Fast Visual Tracking With Robustifying Kernelized Correlation Filters

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Robust visual tracking is a challenging work because the target object suffers appearance variations over time. Tracking algorithms based on correlation filter have presently attracted much attention because of their high efficiency and computation speed.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated
