Copulas with Prescribed Correlation Matrix [PDF]
1 Foreword Marc Yor was also an explorer in the jungle of probability distributions, either in discovering a new species, or in landing on an unexpected simple law after a difficult trip on stochastic calculus: we remember his enthousiam after proving that ∞ 0 exp(2B(t) − 2st)dt −1 is gamma distributed with shape parameter s ('The first natural ...

Bounds for the Distance to the Nearest Correlation Matrix [PDF]
Summary: In a wide range of practical problems correlation matrices are formed in such a way that, while symmetry and a unit diagonal are ensured, they may lack semidefiniteness. We derive a variety of new upper bounds for the distance from an arbitrary symmetric matrix to the nearest correlation matrix.

Extremal correlators and random matrix theory [PDF]
Abstract We study the correlation functions of Coulomb branch operators of four-dimensional $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 2 Superconformal Field Theories (SCFTs). We focus on rank-one theories, such as the SU(2) gauge theory with four fundamental hypermultiplets.

Frequency-Resolved Functional Connectivity: Role of Delay and the Strength of Connections
The brain functional network extracted from the BOLD signals reveals the correlated activity of the different brain regions, which is hypothesized to underlie the integration of the information across functionally specialized areas.

Correlation Matrix-Based Fusion of Hyperspectral and Multispectral Images
The fusion of the hyperspectral image (HSI) and the multispectral image (MSI) is commonly employed to obtain a high spatial resolution hyperspectral image (HR-HSI); however, existing methods often involve complex feature extraction and optimization steps,

The hydrographic survey is an important technology for improving maritime safety, especially in coastal waters. The accuracy of nautical charts and navigation publications is known to be directly related to hydrographic survey data. Therefore, this paper

Another look at matrix correlations
Abstract Motivation High throughput technologies are widely employed in modern biomedical research. They yield measurements of a large number of biomolecules in a single experiment. The number of experiments usually is much smaller than the number of measurements in each experiment.

Assessment of cognitive biases in augmented reality: Beyond eye tracking.
We study an individual’s propensity for rational thinking; the avoidance of cognitive biases (unconscious errors generated by our mental simplification methods) using a novel augmented reality (AR) platform.
