Let q1+⋯+qn+m objects be arranged in n rows with q1,…,qn objects and one last row with m objects. The Janjić–Petković counting function denotes the number of (n+k)-insets, defined as subsets containing n+k objects such that at least one object is chosen ...

CMS results on multijet correlations
We present recent measurements of multijet correlations using forward and low-$p_{\mathrm{T}}$ jets performed by the CMS collaboration at the LHC collider.

We study random joint choice rules, allowing for interdependence of choice across agents. These capture random choice by multiple agents, or a single agent across goods or time periods. Our interest is in separable choice rules, where each agent can be thought of as acting independently of the other.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Quantum correlations and secret bits
It is shown that (i) all entangled states can be mapped by single-copy measurements into probability distributions containing secret correlations, and (ii) if a probability distribution obtained from a quantum state contains secret correlations, then ...

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

STUDY REGARDING THE CORELATION BETWEEN TOTAL GERMS COUNT AND CHEMICAL COMPOSITION IN RAW MILK
The aim of this study was to quantify the correlations between total germs count (TGC), the major chemical compounds in raw milk (fat, proteins and lactose) and milk acidity.

Dislocation avalanche correlations
Recently, mechanical tests on ice as well as dislocation dynamics simulations have revealed that plastic flow displays a scale-free intermittent dynamics characterized by dislocation avalanches with a power law distribution of amplitudes.
