Photoaccumulation of Long‐Lived Reactive Electrons in a Microporous Ti(IV) Oxocluster‐Based Metal–Organic Framework for Light and Dark Photocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The microporous Ti12 oxocluster‐based MOF MIP‐177(Ti)‐LT exhibits effective charge separation and long‐lived photogenerated electrons persisting for hours, as revealed by spectroscopy. These electrons cause reversible color changes and enable dark H2 evolution and water splitting, demonstrating remarkable electron storage and redox capability ...

Performance Constraints of All‐Perovskite Tandem Solar Cells in Low‐Intensity, Low‐Temperature Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
All‐perovskite tandem solar cells are evaluated under low‐intensity and low‐temperature (LILT) conditions relevant to space environments. Distinct loss regimes emerge, where weaker entropic mixing causes halide segragation below ≈240 K going along with a strong current imbalance, while poor electron transport in C60 dominates.

An Integrated Stainless Steel‐Based Electrode for Durable Direct Natural Seawater Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We report an integrated stainless steel‐based electrode featuring Pt atomic clusters anchored on a NiFe‐LDH anticorrosive layer. By regulating interfacial water dynamics to suppress chloride attack, this hierarchical architecture achieves superior durability (over 1000 h) and energy efficiency in direct seawater electrolysis, offering a cost‐effective ...

Electrically Tunable Friction: From Sticky to Slippery with Ionic Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates electrically tunable friction “from sticky to slippery” using ionic hydrogels, achieving reversible more‐than‐fifty‐fold modulation without liquid lubricants. An electric field extracts a salt‐rich interfacial layer that dramatically reduces friction.

A Quasi‐Solid Ionic Liquid‐Polymer Hybrid Electrolyte for Shuttle‐Free and Dendrite‐Free Aqueous Zinc─Bromine Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A quasi‐solid ionic liquid‐polymer hybrid electrolyte is proposed to achieve shuttle‐free and dendrite‐free aqueous Zn─Br batteries. Synergetic effects between Zn2+ selective conduction of polyanionic network and polybromide complexing additive suppress the shuttle effect and improve Zn reversibility.
