Controlled electrochemical reconstruction creates a crystalline–amorphous CuNi nanotube that unifies catalytic activity and durability for alkaline oxygen evolution. The conductive metallic core and active amorphous oxide shell work synergistically to deliver low overpotential and exceptional stability exceeding 1000 h, offering a new strategy for ...

Abstract In present paper, a novel, effective and economical model based on corrosion kinetics and equivalent initial flaw size theory was proposed to predict the corrosion fatigue crack initiation (CFCI) life of E690 steel in simulated seawater. Comparison between the predicted S-N curves and the measured data showed that this model was of nice ...

Initial corrosion of amalgams in vitro
European Journal of Oral Sciences, 1984Abstract – The amounts of copper, mercury, silver or zinc released from two brands of freshly prepared, lathe cut amalgams and from one brand of dispersed phase type amalgam into artificial saliva have been measured. Samples were immersed in the solution a few minutes after the end of trituration and exposed statically for periods of up to about 4 ...

The initiation of pitting corrosion at MnS inclusions
Corrosion Science, 1993Abstract The dissolution of MnS inclusions in stainless steel exposed in 0.5 M NaCl + 0.5 M H 2 SO 4 + 0.08% H 2 O 2 at the free corrosion potential for 10 s has been studied using simultaneous Auger/EDX analysis and imaging and electron microscopy. Inclusions at different stages of dissolution have been examined.
