The Linear Stability of a Core Annular Flow in a Corrugated Tube

2000
A two-fluid core-annular flow (CAF) consists of two immiscible fluids flowing cocurrently in a tube or pore, where one (the annular) fluid wets the tube wall and surrounds the other (core) fluid. Core annular flows are widely studied and employed as a useful model to analyze a number of technologies and problems of scientific interest such as oil ...

Sound Transmission Across Sandwich Structures with Corrugated Cores

2014
An analytic study of sound transmission through all-metallic, two-dimensional, periodic sandwich structures having corrugated core is presented. The space-harmonic method is employed, and an equivalent structure containing one translational spring and one rotational spring per unit cell is proposed to simplify the analysis of the vibroacoustic problem.

Shape Optimization of Multilayer Sandwich Plates with Corrugated Cores

2006
This paper presents a model for the design optimization of multilayer sandwich plates with corrugated cores based on the specifications of objectives and constraints for each particular application. The penalty formulation is used with different optimization algorithms including genetic algorithms (GA).

Research Progress on Welding Method of Corrugated Core and I-Core Sandwich Plate

Engineering Headway
The use of sandwich plates has gained significant popularity in the construction and machinery industries due to their exceptional stiffness-to-mass and strength-to-mass ratios. Among various structural types, I-core sandwich plates (T-joints) and corrugated-core sandwich plates (K-joints) are widely utilized.

Optimization Model for Aluminum Sandvich Plates with Corrugated Core

2005
Metal sandvich plates with corrugated core and glued bonds are in many cases a very good option for diverse applications in industry and construction. These plates posses high stiffness-per-mass ratios, fair environmental properties and resistance, relatively low price per unit area and other important properties.
