IgD‐Expressing Mature B Cells Exhibit Enhanced Sensitivity to Glucocorticoid‐Induced Cell Death

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Immunology, Volume 56, Issue 1, January 2026.
Our study shows that mature B cells expressing IgD exhibit significantly higher sensitivity to glucocorticoid (GC)‐induced cell death. This elevated sensitivity is specifically dependent on GC receptor (GR) expression and is accompanied by enhanced activation as well as terminal differentiation of B cells.

L‐Theanine Alleviates Alcohol‐Induced Kidney Injury by Inhibiting the Sphingolipid Metabolism‐S1PR2‐JNK Pathway and Activating the PPARα‐Steroid Synthesis Pathway

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
L‐theanine alleviates alcohol exposure‐induced kidney injury through a multiple mechanisms. ABSTRACT Alcohol exposure induces kidney oxidative stress and inflammatory responses. L‐theanine (LTA) can protect the kidneys through its antioxidant and immunomodulatory effects; however, its role and underlying mechanisms in alleviating alcoholic kidney ...

Chinese Yam (Dioscorea) Improves Psychiatric Comorbidities of Colitis Mice Through Regulating 5‐HT Metabolism

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
CY alleviates colitis and associated neuropsychiatric symptoms by reducing serum LPS, restoring intestinal barrier integrity, and modulating serotonin metabolism. It inhibits neuroinflammation, improves synaptic function, and normalizes HPA axis hyperactivity via downregulation of HTR2C, offering a multi‐targeted strategy for gut–brain axis dysfunction
