Forms, functional calculus, cosine functions and perturbation [PDF]
In this article we describe properties of unbounded operators related to evolutionary problems. It is a survey article which also contains several new results. For instance we give a characterization of cosine functions in terms of mild well-posedness of the Cauchy problem of order 2, and we show that the property of having a bounded H°°-calculus is ...

A New Extended Cosine—G Distributions for Lifetime Studies
In this article, we introduce a new extended cosine family of distributions. Some important mathematical and statistical properties are studied, including asymptotic results, a quantile function, series representation of the cumulative distribution and ...

A Conditional Symmetric Memristive System With Infinitely Many Chaotic Attractors
A chaotic system with a hyperbolic function flux-controlled memristor is designed, which exhibits conditional symmetry and attractor growing. The newly introduced cosine function keeps the polarity balance when some of the variables get polarity inversed

The Cosine-Sine Functional Equation on Semigroups [PDF]
Abstract The primary object of study is the “cosine-sine” functional equation f(xy) = f(x)g(y)+g(x)f(y)+h(x)h(y) for unknown functions f, g, h : S → ℂ, where S is a semigroup. The name refers to the fact that it contains both the sine and cosine addition laws.

Search for Tracker Potentials in Quintessence Theory [PDF]
We report a significant finding in Quintessence theory that the the scalar fields with tracker potentials have a model-independent scaling behaviour in the expanding universe.

Some Novel Cosine Similarity Measures Based on Complex Hesitant Fuzzy Sets and Their Applications
The theory of complex hesitant fuzzy set (CHFS) is a modification technique of the complex fuzzy set (CFS) to cope with awkward and unreliable information’s in daily life issues.

Cosine and Sine Operators Related with Orthogonal Polynomial Sets on the Intervall [-1,1]
The quantization of phase is still an open problem. In the approach of Susskind and Glogower so called cosine and sine operators play a fundamental role.

Point-Symmetric Extension-Based Interval Shannon-Cosine Spectral Method for Fractional PDEs
The approximation accuracy of the wavelet spectral method for the fractional PDEs is sensitive to the order of the fractional derivative and the boundary condition of the PDEs.

Group representations of bounded cosine functions. [PDF]
The paper characterizes in purely algebraic terms two classes of locally compact Abelian groups. One of these comprises all groups \(G\) such that every bounded continuous cosine function on \(G\) with values in a sequentially complete semitopological algebra with identity has a regular group representation.

The group reduction for bounded cosine functions on UMD spaces
It is shown that if A generates a bounded cosine operator function on a UMD space X, then i(-A)^{1/2} generates a bounded C_0-group.
