New physics from the polarized light of the cosmic microwave background [PDF]
The current cosmological model requires new physics beyond the standard model of elementary particles and fields, such as dark matter and dark energy. Their nature is unknown and so is that of the initial fluctuations in the early Universe that led to ...

The Cosmic Baryon and Metal Cycles [PDF]
Characterizing the relationship between stars, gas, and metals in galaxies is a critical component of understanding the cosmic baryon cycle. We compile contemporary censuses of the baryons in collapsed structures and their chemical makeup and dust ...

Global analysis of atmospheric refractivity profiles from COSMIC GPS radio occultation soundings [PDF]
Atmospheric refractivity is a function of temperature, pressure and water vapor. The refractivity retrieved from the Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) radio occultation soundings has fine vertical resolution and high accuracy, so it can be used ...

Cosmic filaments from cosmic strings [PDF]
Cosmic strings are generically predicted in many extensions of the Standard Model of particle physics. We propose a new avenue for detecting cosmic strings through their effect on the filamentary structure in the cosmic web. Using cosmological simulations of the density wake from a cosmic string, we examine a variety of filament structure probes.

Measurement of Cosmic-ray Energy Spectrum with the TALE Detector in Hybrid Mode [PDF]
The TA Low-energy Extension (TALE) experiment extends the energy range observed by the TA experiment to below 1016 eV. We aim to study the transition from galactic to extragalactic cosmic rays.

Natural and fallout radioactivity mapping of Kakrapar Gujarat site, India
This study presents the activity and outdoor gamma absorbed dose rates (terrestrial and cosmic) due to the naturally occurring (226Ra, 232Th, and 40K) and anthropogenic (137Cs) radionuclides around Kakrapar Gujarat site. The activity level (Bq/kg) in the
