Femtosecond‐Laser Nanocavitation Regenerates SERS‐Active Plasmonic Nanogaps for Longitudinal Molecular Sensing at Biointerfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A regenerative molecular sensing platform that co‐localizes surface‐enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) sensing and nanocavitation‐based actuation. Femtosecond‐laser triggered nanocavitation produces thermomechanical forces to locally regenerate SERS‐active nanogaps in protein‐rich biofluids while preserving optical performance.

Compact objects in 4D Einstein Gauss Bonnet gravity: A data based perspective

open access: yesNuclear Physics B
Cosmic evolution is the most sensational topic among researchers of modern cosmology. This article explores cosmic evolution in 4D Einstein Gauss Bonnet gravity, focusing on mass accretion of compact objects (black holes and wormholes) by dark energy ...

$$f(\mathcal {R},\varphi ,\chi )$$ f(R,φ,χ) cosmology with Noether symmetry

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2020
This paper is devoted to explore modified $$f(\mathcal {R})$$ f(R) theories of gravity using Noether symmetry approach. For this purpose, Friedmann–Robertson–Walker spacetime is chosen to investigate the cosmic evolution. The study is mainly divided into

ALMA SPECTROSCOPIC SURVEY IN THE HUBBLE ULTRA DEEP FIELD: CO LUMINOSITY FUNCTIONS AND THE EVOLUTION OF THE COSMIC DENSITY OF MOLECULAR GAS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper we use ASPECS, the ALMA Spectroscopic Survey in the Hubble Ultra Deep Field in band 3 and band 6, to place blind constraints on the CO luminosity function and the evolution of the cosmic molecular gas density as a function of redshift up to

Kaempferol Attenuates Spaceflight‐Associated Knee Cartilage Degradation by Targeting NOX4‐Mediated Mitochondrial Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We have shown that both simulated and actual spaceflight contribute to cartilage degradation in the knees of mice. Using RNA sequencing and bioenergetic profiling, we identified NADPH oxidase 4 (NOX4) as a key factor driving these changes. Additionally, we found that kaempferol, a naturally occurring flavonoid that binds directly to NOX4, reduces ...

The Horizon-AGN simulation: evolution of galaxy properties over cosmic time [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We compare the predictions of Horizon-AGN, a hydro-dynamical cosmological simulation that uses an adaptive mesh refinement code, to observational data in the redshift range 0 6.

Asking the 5 W's for designing next‐generation bioprocessing

open access: yesAIChE Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Biotechnology is expanding beyond traditional, centralized fermentation and toward next‐generation bioprocessing paradigms that emphasize flexible deployment outside the laboratory with application‐specific performance. However, many bioprocesses fail to translate beyond proof‐of‐concept into industrially viable systems because early design ...
