Ultra-high energy cosmic rays threshold in Randers-Finsler space

open access: yes, 2008
Kinematics in Finsler space is used to study the propagation of ultra high energy cosmic rays particles through the cosmic microwave background radiation. We find that the GZK threshold is lifted dramatically in Randers-Finsler space.

Multifunctional diamond‐based catalysts: Promising candidates for energy conversions in extreme environments—A mini‐review

open access: yesElectron, Volume 2, Issue 3, August 2024.
The review systematically discusses the characteristics of extreme environments and exceptional properties diamond owns. Current research progress on diamond‐based catalysts in the fields of electrocatalysis and photocatalysis of CO2 is reviewed, as well as the challenges and prospects for the application of diamond‐based catalytic materials in extreme

Early Universe Sources for Cosmic Microwave Background Non-Gaussianity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
In the framework of inflationary models with non-vacuum initial states for cosmological perturbations, we study non-Gaussian signatures on the cosmic microwave background radiation produced by a broken-scale-invariant model which incorporates a feature at a privileged scale in the primordial power spectrum.

Current Status of the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation [PDF]

open access: yesSymposium - International Astronomical Union, 1999
My goal is to summarize our understanding of the cosmic microwave background radiation (CMBR) at this interesting moment after the detection of fluctuations in the background and before the next generation of satellite experiments. I begin by listing recent reviews and papers on the spectrum of the CMBR.

The Asymmetry of the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation as Signature of Local Lorentz Invariance Violation

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2022
A difference in electric potential in a static conductor inside a static magnetic field and an anisotropic and asymmetric distribution of neutrons emitted in nuclear reactions induced by ultrasound are assumed as marks of local Lorentz invariance (LLI ...

Dynamical Janus‐Like Behavior Excited by Passive Cold‐Heat Modulation in the Earth‐Sun/Universe System: Opportunities and Challenges

open access: yesSmall, Volume 20, Issue 32, August 8, 2024.
This work provides a systematic overview of dynamic Janus‐like applications based on spectral modulation implemented in sun/universe‐earth systems with respect to solar thermal technology and radiation cooling technology. Abstract The utilization of solar‐thermal energy and universal cold energy has led to many innovative designs that achieve effective

The Atacama Cosmology Telescope: Millimeter Observations of a Population of Asteroids or: ACTeroids

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We present fluxes and light curves for a population of asteroids at millimeter wavelengths, detected by the Atacama Cosmology Telescope (ACT) over 18,000 deg ^2 of the sky using data from 2017 to 2021.

From Cosmology to Cold Atoms: Observation of Sakharov Oscillations in Quenched Atomic Superfluids

open access: yes, 2012
Sakharov oscillations, conventionally discussed in the context of early universe evolution and the anisotropy of cosmic microwave background radiation, is the manifestation of interfering acoustic waves synchronously generated in an ideal fluid.

Advancing Parsimonious Deep Learning Weather Prediction Using the HEALPix Mesh

open access: yesJournal of Advances in Modeling Earth Systems, Volume 16, Issue 8, August 2024.
Abstract We present a parsimonious deep learning weather prediction model to forecast seven atmospheric variables with 3‐hr time resolution for up to 1‐year lead times on a 110‐km global mesh using the Hierarchical Equal Area isoLatitude Pixelization (HEALPix). In comparison to state‐of‐the‐art (SOTA) machine learning (ML) weather forecast models, such

Microwave Background, Backgrounds Hierarchy - Polyphony of Universe [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2001
We discuss the structure, physical nature, dynamic genesis of clearly detected diffuse backgrounds (radiations) in the Universe. From the point of view of Wave Universe concept it is shown, that observed Backgrounds Hierarchy (Polyphony of Universe) is close connected and causely determined by the sound velocity Hierarchy of the physical medium, cosmic
