ARGO-YBJ: Highlights and Prospects
The ARGO-YBJ experiment has been in stable data taking for 5 years at the YangBaJing Cosmic Ray Laboratory (Tibet, P.R. China, 4300 m a.s.l., 606 g/cm2). With a duty-cycle greater than 86% the detector collected about 51011 events in a wide energy range,

Cosmic Birefringence from the Planck Data Release 4. [PDF]
We search for the signature of parity-violating physics in the cosmic microwave background, called cosmic birefringence, using the Planck data release 4. We initially find a birefringence angle of β=0.30°±0.11° (68% C.L.) for nearly full-sky data.

General plan of the in‐situ experiment (WNS) base. Abstract This paper introduces the establishment of deep underground infrastructure for science and engineering research. First, the representative deep underground research laboratories and facilities in the world and their functions were summarized and reviewed.

Overview of the Auger@TA project and preliminary results from Phase I [PDF]
We report on the first results of a unique in-situ experimental cross-calibration effort of the surface detector of the Pierre Auger Observatory and of the Telescope Array experiment (Auger@TA).

The Auger@TA Project: Phase II Progress and Plans [PDF]
The Auger@TA project is a combined effort involving members of both the Pierre Auger Observatory and the Telescope Array experiment (TA) to cross-calibrate detectors and compare results on air showers detected at one location.

The “SPectrogram Analysis and Cataloguing Environment” (SPACE) labelling tool
The SPectrogram Analysis and Cataloguing Environment (SPACE) tool is an interactive python tool designed to label radio emission features of interest in a time-frequency map (called “dynamic spectrum”).

Nuclear Physics Meets the Sources of the Ultra-High Energy Cosmic Rays [PDF]
The determination of the injection composition of cosmic ray nuclei within astrophysical sources requires sufficiently accurate descriptions of the source physics and the propagation – apart from controlling astrophysical uncertainties.

Improved constraints on cosmic birefringence from the WMAP and Planck cosmic microwave background polarization data [PDF]
The observed pattern of linear polarization of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) photons is a sensitive probe of physics violating parity symmetry under inversion of spatial coordinates. A new parity-violating interaction might have rotated the plane

Cosmic Strings and Cosmic Superstrings [PDF]
In these lectures, I review the current status of cosmic strings and cosmic superstrings. I first discuss topological defects in the context of Grand Unified Theories, focusing in particular in cosmic strings arising as gauge theory solitons. I discuss the reconciliation between cosmic strings and cosmological inflation, I review cosmic string dynamics,
