Toward a Halo Mass Function for Precision Cosmology: The Limits of Universality [PDF]
We measure the mass function of dark matter halos in a large set of collisionless cosmological simulations of flat ΛCDM cosmology and investigate its evolution at z≲ 2.

Precision cosmology, Accuracy cosmology and Statistical cosmology [PDF]
AbstractThe avalanche of data over the past 10-20 years has propelled cosmology into the “precision era”. The next challenge cosmology has to meet is to enter the era of accuracy. Because of the intrinsic nature of studying the Cosmos and the sheer amount of data available now and coming soon, the only way to meet this challenge is by developing ...

AbstractUsing arguments from holography we propose that the deviation of the cosmological spectral index $$n_S$$ n S of scalar fluctuations from unity may be controlled almost entirely by the critical exponent $$\eta $$ η of

Equivalence of Models in Loop Quantum Cosmology and Group Field Theory
The paradigmatic models often used to highlight cosmological features of loop quantum gravity and group field theory are shown to be equivalent, in the sense that they are different realizations of the same model given by harmonic cosmology.

A Varying-e Brane World Cosmology [PDF]
We study a varying electric charge brane world cosmology in the RS2 model obtained from a varying-speed-of-light brane world cosmology by redefining the system of units. We elaborate conditions under which the flatness problem and the cosmological constant problem can be resolved by such cosmological model.

The Part of the Whole. Cosmology as an Empirical and Analytical Concept
In the study of Old Norse religion, mythology and cosmology are two core concepts frequently used in inter-disciplinary discussions as to the content, changes and spread of the pre-Christian religion in Scandinavia.

Conceptual Problems of Fractal Cosmology [PDF]
This report continues recent Peebles-Turner debate "Is cosmology solved?" and considers the first results for Sandage's program for "Practical cosmology". A review of conceptual problems of modern cosmological models is given, among them: the nature of the space expansion; recession velocities of distant galaxies more than velocity of light ...
