Quantum cosmology aims to develop a quantum theory of the universe, attempting to answer open questions of physical cosmology, mainly related to the early epochs of the universe. Such a theory aims to unite relativity theory and quantum theory. Here, the

Accelerating cosmology in Rastall's theory
In an attempt to look for a viable mechanism leading to a present-day accelerated expansion, we investigate the possibility that the observed cosmic speed up may be recovered in the framework of the Rastall's theory, relying on the non-conservativity of the stress-energy tensor, i.e. $T^ _{ ; } \neq 0$.

‘Turkeys Cannot Vote for Christmas’: Why Epistemic Disobedience in an Anti‐Black World Matters
ABSTRACT Never in the history of global coloniality has the idea of epistemic disobedience been as important as in the 21st century. This is not only because the struggle for decolonisation has shifted from physical confrontation between the coloniser and the colonised into a battle of ideas but also because the former has deployed the idea of ...

This work considers the dynamics of the gauge vector and inflaton (dilaton) fields inspired by Kaluza–Klein theory in an inflationary universe with Bianchi type-I spacetime. The inverse power-law potential of the inflaton field is used to study dynamical

Noncommutative Quantum Cosmology
We consider noncommutative quantum cosmology in the case of the low-energy string effective theory. Exacts solutions are found and compared with the commutative case. The Noncommutative quantum cosmology is considered in the case of the low-energy string ...

Work Versus Force: Simultaneous Processes for Describing Interactions
ABSTRACT Achieving a unified description of interactions remains an open challenge in theoretical physics, which currently describes four fundamental forces. This situation may be viewed differently when interactions are formulated in terms of processes (work as actio) rather than forces (force as actio), not only at the macroscopic level but also at ...

Detecting kinematic boundary surfaces in phase space: particle mass measurements in SUSY-like events
We critically examine the classic endpoint method for particle mass determination, focusing on difficult corners of parameter space, where some of the measurements are not independent, while others are adversely affected by the experimental resolution ...

On acceleration in three dimensions
We go “back to basics”, studying accelerating systems in 2 + 1 AdS gravity ab initio. We find three classes of geometry, which we interpret by studying holographically their physical parameters.

Looking Beyond Inflationary Cosmology
In spite of the phenomenological successes of the inflationary universe scenario, the current realizations of inflation making use of scalar fields lead to serious conceptual problems which are reviewed in this lecture.

Brane Gas Cosmology, M-theory and Little String Theory [PDF]
We generalize the Brane Gas Cosmological Scenario to M-theory degrees of freedom, namely $M5$ and $M2$ branes. Without brane intersections, the Brandenberger Vafa(BV) arguments applied to M-theory degrees of freedom generically predict a large 6 ...
