AbstractA field screening trial undertaken in Uganda showed that a number of Musa L. (Musaceae) cultivars and hybrids displayed high levels of resistance to banana weevil, Cosmopolites sordidus (Germar) (Coleoptera: Curculionidae), while most highland banana cultivars tended to be susceptible to weevil attack.
