We present a method to monitor and characterize the movement of ground‐dwelling arthropods in mesocosms with realistic ground covers. The method, based on infra‐red video tracking and trajectory processing, made it possible to track night‐time movements that were partially concealed by plant residues.

Pest categorisation of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense Tropical Race 4
Abstract The EFSA Plant Health Panel performed a pest categorisation of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense Tropical Race 4 (Foc TR4), an ascomycete fungus causing Fusarium wilt (Panama disease) on Musa spp. Foc TR4 is pathogenic to the commercial banana varieties including those of the ‘Cavendish’ group and is considered as the most destructive among ...

This study presents the first phylogeny of the palm weevil subfamily Dryophthorinae (1,200 species, 153 genera), a group that is mainly associated with monocots and includes major pests, such as the Red and South American Palm Weevils. This study includes genetic sampling of all major lineages worldwide, integrated structural alignment of ribosomal DNA

Abstract Following a request from the European Commission, the EFSA Panel on Plant Health examined evidence as to whether the import of fruits of Musa (bananas and plantains) could provide a pathway into the EU for Bactrocera dorsalis (Hendel) (Diptera: Tephritidae) or other non‐EU Tephritidae for which Musa is a host. Relevant scientific and technical
