LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Sunk Cost Dilemma Behavior: the Contribution Marketing Expenses Towards Financial Performance [PDF]
Marketing expenses can drove the financial performance of a company, but sometimes it was only a sunk cost. The sunk cost dilemma behavior can confuse a financial manager, confounding decisions about whether to invest in marketing. Thus, this study aimed

Decreasing Serial Cost Sharing under Economies to Scale [PDF]
We consider the problem of cost sharing in the presence of increasing returns to scale and potential strategic behavior on the part of consumers. We show that any smooth and strictly monotonic mechanism for which a Nash equilibrium exists for all ...

Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.

Contextual Compliance: Situational and Subjective Cost-Benefit Decisions about Pesticides by Chinese Farmers [PDF]
This article analyzes how cost-benefit calculation influences compliance with pesticide regulation by Chinese farmers. Building on a study including 150 farmers and experts, it studies how operational costs and benefits and deterrence affect compliance ...

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Optimizing for confidence - Costs and opportunities at the frontier between abstraction and reality [PDF]
Is there a relationship between computing costs and the confidence people place in the behavior of computing systems? What are the tuning knobs one can use to optimize systems for human confidence instead of correctness in purely abstract models?
