Cost Sharing and Catch Sharing [PDF]
Abstract The model developed in this paper attempts to provide an explanation of the fact that Icelandic vessel owners and Icelandic skippers do not share costs of operation of a vessel. In the model, a skipper is contracted to take a fishing vessel to the fishing ground.

In economic models convexity plays an important role in establishing the existence of solutions. Therefore it is of importance to develop techniques for accommodating nonconvexity. In this paper the authors consider cooperative games with side payments.

Summary: A fixed group of \(n\) agents share a one input, one output technology with decreasing returns. We propose the following cost sharing formula. Agent 1 with the lowest demand of output \(q_ 1\) pays \((1/n)\)th of the cost of \(nq_ 1\). Agent 2, with the next lowest demand \(q_ 2\) pays agent 1's cost share plus \(1/(n-1)\)th of the incremental

Cost and responsibility sharing
Veterinary Record, 2009I noted with interest the report of the presentation by Defra at the recent BVA Council meeting ( VR , December 20/27, 2008, vol 163, pp 734-735). Defra's proposal to establish a compulsory register of livestock owners and then raise a levy on the livestock held by each owner is no more or less ...

Pseudonyms in Cost-Sharing Games
2009This work initiates the study of cost-sharing mechanisms that, in addition to the usual incentive compatibility conditions, make it disadvantageous for the users to employ pseudonyms. We show that this is possible only if all serviced users pay the same price, which implies that such mechanisms do not exist even for certain subadditive cost functions ...
