Assessment of distributed photovoltaic hosting capacity in integrated electricity and heat systems considering uncertainty

open access: yesIET Energy Systems Integration, 2021
Distributed photovoltaics (DPVs) have been widely integrated into power systems due to their abundance, renewability and low cost, while the stochastic nature of DPVs imposes significant influence on the hosting capacity (HC) of DPVs.

Bridging the gap: Multi‐stakeholder perspectives of molecular diagnostics in oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Although molecular diagnostics is transforming cancer care, implementing novel technologies remains challenging. This study identifies unmet needs and technology requirements through a two‐step stakeholder involvement. Liquid biopsies for monitoring applications and predictive biomarker testing emerge as key unmet needs. Technology requirements vary by

switching costs

open access: yes, 2008
Switching costs arise when transactions, learning, or pecuniary costs are incurred by a user who changes suppliers (including for ‘follow-on’ or ‘aftermarket’ products such as refills and repairs). The ex post market power that switching costs give suppliers need not create inefficiencies, and early ‘bargain’ prices can compensate consumers for later ...

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

The costs of Suaahara II, a complex scaled‐up multisectoral nutrition programme in Nepal

open access: yesMaternal and Child Nutrition
Limited evidence exists on the costs of scaled‐up multisectoral nutrition programmes. Such evidence is crucial to assess intervention value and affordability.

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Tumor and germline testing with next generation sequencing in epithelial ovarian cancer: a prospective paired comparison using an 18‐gene panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Genetic testing in epithelial ovarian cancer includes both germline and tumor‐testing. This approach often duplicates resources. The current prospective study assessed the feasibility of tumor‐first multigene testing by comparing tumor tissue with germline testing of peripheral blood using an 18‐gene NGS panel in 106 patients.
