Scenarios of local spectral property and multifunctional spin selecting for a triple quantum dot molecule: How do the bonding and antibonding orbitals contribute to the spin currents?

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2019
Molecular electronic device is considered as a promising candidate for next generation electronic component, where the basic challenge involves understanding the charge and spin transports through molecular objects.

Design optimization of Coulomb blockade devices [PDF]

open access: yes7th International Workshop on Computational Electronics. Book of Abstracts. IWCE (Cat. No.00EX427), 2001
We investigate the design of a Coulomb blockade device consisting of a rectangular array of quantum dots or ultrasmall metallic islands with regard to its stability against geometric size disorder and offset charges. To simulate the device operation we perform a statistical analysis of the Coulomb blockade voltage which results in practical design ...

Tunable Quantum Dots from Atomically Precise Graphene Nanoribbons Using a Multi‐Gate Architecture

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, 2023
Atomically precise graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) are increasingly attracting interest due to their largely modifiable electronic properties, which can be tailored by controlling their width and edge structure during chemical synthesis. In recent years, the

Dual Negative Differential of Heat Generation in a Strongly Correlated Quantum Dot Side-Coupled to Majorana Bound States

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics, 2021
We study theoretically the properties of local heat originated from energy exchange between electrons passing through a quantum dot (QD) coupled to a phonon bath.

Coulomb "blockade" of Nuclear Spin Relaxation in Quantum Dots

open access: yes, 2002
We study the mechanism of nuclear spin relaxation in quantum dots due to the electron exchange with 2D gas. We show that the nuclear spin relaxation rate is dramatically affected by the Coulomb blockade and can be controlled by gate voltage.

Cotunneling and non-equilibrium magnetization in magnetic molecular monolayers

open access: yes, 2007
Transport and non-equilibrium magnetization in monolayers of magnetic molecules subject to a bias voltage are considered. We apply a master-equation approach going beyond the sequential-tunneling approximation to study the Coulomb-blockade regime.

Impact of capacitance and tunneling asymmetries on Coulomb blockade edges and Kondo peaks in non-equilibrium transport through molecular quantum dots [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We investigate theorerically the non-equilibrium transport through a molecular quantum dot as a function of gate and bias voltage, taking into account the typical situation in molecular electronics. In this respect, our study includes asymmetries both in

Spin-polarization and Coulomb interaction dependent thermal rectification in a quantum dot system

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics
Based on the master equation approach, we investigate the thermal transport through a diode composed of a quantum dot under Coulomb interaction and tunnel-coupled to two ferromagnetic leads with antiparallel spin polarizations.
