Nonlocal Internal Variable and Superfluid State in Liquid Helium II
We present a model of superfluidity based on the internal variable theory. We consider a two-component fluid endowed with a scalar internal variable whose gradient is the counterflow velocity.

Dissipation Triggers Dynamical Two-Stream Instability
Two coupled, interpenetrating fluids suffer instabilities beyond certain critical counterflows. For ideal fluids, an energetic instability occurs at the point where a sound mode inverts its direction due to the counterflow, while dynamical instabilities ...

Electric field screening by a proton counterflow in the pulsar polar cap
We propose a new mechanism to screen the electric field in the pulsar polar cap. Previous studies have shown that if an electron beam from the stellar surface is accelerated to energies high enough to create electron-positron pairs, the required electric

Aldehyde Hydrosilylation with Ethylzinc Complexes of Bulky β‐Thioketiminate Ligands
A sterically demanding β‐thioketiminate ligand supports a monomeric ethylzinc complex that catalyses aldehyde hydrosilylation with phenylsilane (PhSiH3). In the presence of methanol (MeOH), high selectivity for the dialkoxysilane product is achieved.

In vitro study of flow characteristics in abdominal aortic aneurysm
Hemodynamic factors play a key role in the endovascular aneurysm repair of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA). This study conducts an in vitro experiment in which a circulating platform for the experiment and modeling of the pulsatility of blood flow in the

Nonlocal and rotational effects in quantum turbulence
We discuss phenomenological equations for the evolution of vortex tangle in counterflow superfluid turbulence, which takes into account the influence of the non local effects, both in absence and in the presence of rotation.

Sample dispersion in isotachophoresis with Poiseuille counterflow
A particular mode of isotachophoresis (ITP) employs a pressure-driven flow opposite to the sample electromigration direction in order to anchor a sample zone at a specific position along a channel or capillary.

On the Nonuniform Quantum Turbulence in Superfluids
The problem of quantum turbulence in a channel with an inhomogeneous counterflow of superfluid turbulent helium is studied. \ The counterflow velocity $V_{ns}^{x}(y)$ along the channel is supposed to have a parabolic profile in the transverse direction ...

This review examines nail penetration‐induced thermal runaway (TR) in lithium‐ion batteries, analyzing experimental and modeling studies on critical factors—battery materials, nail properties, state of charge, and penetration dynamics. It also explores internal short‐circuit modes, TR severity, and safety solutions such as advanced separators, non ...
