On the Exact Solutions of Couple Stress Fluids [PDF]

open access: yesAdvanced Trends in Mathematics, 2014
Exact solutions of the momentum equations of couple stress fluid are investigated. Making use of stream function, the two-dimensional flow equations are transformed into non-linear compatibility equation, and then it is linearized by vorticity function. Stream functions and velocity distributions are discussed for various flow situations.

Global Stability For Double-Diffusive Convection In A Couple-Stress Fluid Saturating A Porous Medium

open access: yesStudia Geotechnica et Mechanica, 2019
We show that the global non-linear stability threshold for convection in a double-diffusive couple-stress fluid saturating a porous medium is exactly the same as the linear instability boundary.

Peristaltic Transport of a Couple Stress Fluid: Some Applications to Hemodynamics

open access: yes, 2012
The present paper deals with a theoretical investigation of the peristaltic transport of a couple stress fluid in a porous channel. The study is motivated towards the physiological flow of blood in the micro-circulatory system, by taking account of the ...

Spin Axioms in Relativistic Continuum Physics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The 24 components of the relativistic spin tensor consist of 3+3 basic spin fields and 9+9 constitutive fields. Empirically only 3 basic spin fields and 9 constitutive fields are known.

Drag Over A Fluid Sphere Filled With Couple Stress Due to Flow of A Couple Stress Fluid with Slip Condition

open access: yesTrends in Sciences, 2022
In this article, the exact solution for a couple stress fluid flow past a fluid sphere filled with a couple stress fluid is considered using interfacial slip on the boundary. The velocity is expressed with regard to the stream function. The external velocity and internal velocity are alongside the drag coefficient.
