Analysis of the Interleaved Isolated Boost Converter With Coupled Inductors
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2015This paper analyzes the interleaved boost with coupled inductors (IBCI) converter, which is an isolated topology that is suitable for high step-up applications. Two main contributions are given: an exhaustive steady-state analysis and an accurate small-signal model.

A novel coupled inductor for interleaved converters
2010 Twenty-Fifth Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC), 2010Aiming to reduce the volume and weight further, a novel coupled inductor is proposed in this paper. The implementation approaches and the operation principles are analyzed in detail along with the comparison analysis with three-leg coupled inductor.

An Improved Current-Doubler with Coupled Inductors
2006 CES/IEEE 5th International Power Electronics and Motion Control Conference, 2006In this paper, an improved current-doubler rectifier with coupled inductors is proposed, which can extend duty ratio to reduce the peak current through the isolation transformer and to lower output current ripple. Additionally, passive lossless snubbers are introduced to reduce reverse recovery loss and clamp the voltage spike across the rectifier ...

Modeling and design of transformers and coupled inductors
Proceedings Eighth Annual Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition,, 2002The modeling and design of transformers and coupled inductors are discussed. After a brief review of Maxwell's laws and magnetic circuit models, the magnetic and electric models of transformers and coupled inductors are developed, including both magnetizing and leakage effects.

Coupled-Inductor Inversion, Rectification and Cycloconversion
1986A new PWM approach using three state switching of negatively coupled inductors can be applied to any basic dc-to-dc converter to form single-phase dc-to-ac inverters. Current reference programming gives improvements in linearity, small-signal dynamics, and pulsed-load response. The current programming loops of the flyback and boost inverters are stable

PWM Inverters Using Split-Wound Coupled Inductors
IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 2008The number of voltage levels available in PWM voltage source inverters can be increased by using an inverter leg with a split-wound coupled inductor and interleaved PWM switching of the upper and lower switches. The magnetizing inductance of the split-wound inductor filters the PWM-cycle instantaneous voltage differences between the upper and lower ...

A Coupled Inductor Derived High Gain Boost Inverter
2018 IEEE Industry Applications Society Annual Meeting (IAS), 2018To run HEVs, industrial drives and consumer electronics from solar power, high voltage gain inverters are required. Z-source inverter is one which provides the higher AC gain. The gain of the inverter can be increased as per demand depending on the number of passive elements and their arrangement.

Coupled inductor characterization and SPICE modeling
Fifth Annual Proceedings on Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition, 1990A complete coupled inductor characterization method, including leakage flux, is described, and its SPICE model is presented. Another SPICE model is developed for p-p ripple current determination in the windings of the coupled inductor in a switching converter and its use is extended to AC stability and audiosusceptibility analyses. >

The coupled inductor filter: analysis and design for AC systems
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 1998Coupled inductors have been used in specific DC-to-DC converters to provide ripple-current steering. Switching ripple currents may be preferentially directed away from a source or a load. This paper shows that general purpose filters can be produced using coupled inductors and capacitors. These are equally applicable to AC and DC applications.

A Critical Investigation of Coupled Inductors SEPIC Design Issues
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2014This paper discusses design issues of single-ended primary-inductor converter (SEPIC) with coupled inductors (CIs). The main investigation is focused on the correlation existing among the size of coupling capacitor, the magnetic coupling factor of CIs, the voltage conversion ratio, and the amplitude of peak-to-peak (pk-pk) ripple current in the input ...
