Study of a coupled inductor converter based active-network

IECON 2013 - 39th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2013
Traditional high step-up voltage gain DC/DC converters have some common problems, such as large volume, high power switches voltage stress and limited voltage conversion ratio. In order to solve these problems, this paper proposed a novel transformerless coupled inductor based active-network converter. Firstly, this paper shows the key waveforms of the

Introduction to modeling of transformers and coupled inductors

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 1995
A tutorial paper is presented on modeling and design of transformers and coupled inductors. Beginning with a brief review of electromagnetic laws and magnetic circuit models, the magnetic and electric models of transformers and coupled inductors are developed, including both magnetizing and leakage effects.

New Multilevel Converters With Coupled Inductors: Properties and Control

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2011
In the paper, a new five-level (5L) converter is presented. It is called 5L-active-neutral-point-clamped with coupled-inductor (5L-ANPC-CI) and consists of a three-level bidirectional (3L-B) commutation cell connected to two parallel basic commutation cells.

Coupled-inductor boost converter with simple resonant technique

IECON 2013 - 39th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2013
A coupled-inductor boost converter (CIBC) is a popular solution for high step-up applications. In order to relieve the drawbacks caused by a coupled-inductor (CI) and to further improve the efficiency, the simple PWM resonant technique for the CIBC is presented.

On the energy approach to the theory of coupled inductors

European Transactions on Electrical Power, 1998
AbstractThe paper presents a revisited energy approach to the theory of a set of n coupled inductors. The hybrid constitutive relations are analyzed. It is shown that the fundamental relation expressing the energy of the system requires a minimum number of coupling terms if a set of hybrid independent variables is adopted.

Surrogate-based optimization of coupled inductors

COMPEL - The international journal for computation and mathematics in electrical and electronic engineering
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to present an application-specific optimization methodology for the design of coupled inductors used in multilevel interleaved power converters. This study focuses on minimizing core losses to meet power density requirements, reducing component volume to address cost ...

Nonlinear dynamics of coupled inductor-capacitor-memristor oscillators

2019 26th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems (ICECS), 2019
In this work, the dynamical phenomena of coupled parallel inductor-capacitor-memristor oscillators connected in a ring structure are studied. Various dynamical phenomena are observed including perfect synchronization and formation of clusters. Conditions for synchronization are derived using the master stability function approach.
