Coupled Line Equations with Random Coupling
Bell System Technical Journal, 1972The coupled line equations for two modes traveling in the same direction are considered. The covariances of the mode transfer functions are calculated in the case of random coupling. Exact results are obtained when the coupling is a function of a finite state Markov chain, and also when the coupling is white noise.

A transmission line model of coupling to power lines has been developed that shows the effect of ground conductivity, angle of arrival, polarization, and power line geometry on the open-circuit voltage at the end of the line. With this information, and the characteristic impedance of the line, the current and voltage to any termination may be ...

ABSTRACT A procedure based on trasmission-line theory, is presented for the evaluation of the effects produced by an EMP wave on a multiconductor power line. The high-altitude nuclear EMP is considered as an incident wave towards the ground; the total field is the sum of the incident wave and the wave reflected from the ground surface. The transmission

Coupled-Mode Analysis of Line Parameters of Coupled Microstrip Lines - Abstract
Journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Applications, 1999An approximate method to obtain the line parameters of multiple coupled microstrip lines based on the full-wave analysis is presented. The technique uses the coupled-mode equations for the amplitudes of currents on each line. The coupling matrix in the equations, expressed by overlap integrals between the eigenmode fields of each isolated single line ...

[Proceedings] 1992 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2003
The properties of multiple coupled line structures are reviewed for applications in microwave circuits. In order to demonstrate the applications of the coupled line multiports, some representative examples are given. These include the application of the multiple coupled line theory in the analysis and design of components such as a spiral inductor, a ...

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1977
An analysis of coupling between a stripline and a rectangular waveguide is presented. Coupling is through small apertures in the form of a circular hole or a narrow rectangular slot. A closed form expression for the normalized field distribution in the stripline, required for the purpose of analysis, is also derived.

Asymmetric coupled transmission lines with anisotropic coupling
IEEE International Digest on Microwave Symposium, 2002The characteristics of asymmetric coupled transmission lines are derived for the case of general anisotropic coupling, special cases of which are certain geometries of anisotropic materials or from distributed active devices. In addition to deriving the terminal characteristics for the uniform coupled-line, four-port case with anisotropic coupling, it ...

Branch-Line Hybrid-Rings with Coupled-Lines
24th European Microwave Conference, 1994, 1994A branch-line hybrid-ring is composed of four quarter-wavelength transmission lines, and hence occupies a large area on printed circuitboards because of its loop structure. In this paper, a branch-line hybrid-ring which includes microwave C sections is proposed for size reduction.

Approaches for on-line coupling of extraction and chromatography
Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, 2004This review provides an overview of the approaches available in order to perform on-line coupling of various extraction techniques with liquid and gas chromatography, for the analysis of semivolatile and nonvolatile analytes in liquid and solid samples. The main focus is on the instrumental set-up of these techniques.

Experiencing Couple Relationships in the Line of Fire
Journal of Marital and Family Therapy, 2016The study aims to explore the way civilians living in the line of fire experience the impact of exposure to warfare on their couple relationships. Semistructured interviews were conducted with 14 couples living on the Israeli side of the border with the Gaza Strip. Four themes emerged: Overall perception of the security situation's impact on the dyadic
