Line Coupling, Ground Defect, Port Termination, and Line Parameters Extraction for Coupled Lines with Mixed-mode Stimuli

2021 IEEE 71st Electronic Components and Technology Conference (ECTC), 2021
Some suggested that four-port single-ended scattering S-parameters (simulated or measured) could be converted and used to represent mixed-mode S-parameters; the approach we label here as “SE-matrix converted,” or simply “SE-conv.” SE-conv is often preferred, since the mixed-mode signal sources and probes are not readily or easily available.

Characteristics of Coupled Microstrip Transmission Lines-II: Evaluation of Coupled-Line Parameters

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1970
This part of the paper presents the parameters of coupled microstrip lines which are required in the equations and results derived in Part I for determining the characteristics of coupled lines. Several geometries are considered and the inductive and capacitive coupling coefficients, the effective dielectric constant, and the characteristic impedance ...

Experimental Characterisations of Coupled Transmission Lines

4th IEEE International Symposium on Electronic Design, Test and Applications (delta 2008), 2008
Coupled transmission lines are experimentally characterised by using 4-port s-parameter measurements in the broad frequency band (up to more than the 20 GHz). The test patterns are designed and fabricated by using a BGA package process. Symmetrical coupled transmission lines are decoupled into two eigen modes that can be readily determined from the ...

On-Line Microdialysis Coupled to Analytical Systems

Journal of Chromatographic Science, 2008
In vivo sampling of interstitial fluid using microdialysis (MD) fibers has become a standard and accepted procedure. The resulting small volume samples, often with low concentrations of the analyte of interest, present a particular challenge to analytical methods.

Field-To-Line Coupling Models Compared: Coupled Lines and Modified Taylor

2013
Models for field-to-line coupling are interesting because they help to predict the immunity of PCBs and explain the relation between routing and immunity. In this article a meandered PCB trace illuminated by EM field in a TEM cell is analysed. The near-end and far-end coupling is predicted using two models: a detailed and an approximative one.

A Capacitance-Coupled Bit Line Cell

IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 1985
A 38-µm2dynamic random-access memory (dRAM) cell with a capacitance-coupled bit line (CCB) approach is described. This cell enables a storage capacitor area 2-2.5 times larger than double polysilicon-type cells, or half the cell area with the same design rules.

Line coupling in anisotropic Raman branches

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1994
Direct connection between collisional Raman cross sections and state-to-state rotational ones permits, within the sudden approximation, to evidence drastic decouplings from isotropic to anisotropic lines. These decouplings are consistent with the results obtained by using the strong collision model.

On the Transmission-Line Approach for the Evaluation of LEMP Coupling to Multiconductor Lines

IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, 2015
This paper provides some clarification on the subject of the response of multiconductor lines to lightning-originated electromagnetic fields. Specifically, the effect of the presence of more conductors on the line response is analyzed with and without taking into account the ground losses in the surge propagation.

Coupled Ensemble Flow Line Advection and Analysis

IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, 2013
Ensemble run simulations are becoming increasingly widespread. In this work, we couple particle advection with pathline analysis to visualize and reveal the differences among the flow fields of ensemble runs. Our method first constructs a variation field using a Lagrangian-based distance metric.

On-line coupling of electrokinetic chromatography and mass spectrometry

Journal of Chromatography A, 2010
The use of pseudostationary phases (PSPs) in capillary electrophoresis provides powerful separation systems of high efficiency, selectivity and flexibility. Such electrokinetic chromatographic (EKC) systems are particularly useful for chiral analysis or for the analysis of samples containing a broad range of compounds.
