SYNCHRONIZATION OF IMPULSIVELY COUPLED SYSTEMS
International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2008In the past years, impulsive control for a single system and impulsive synchronization between two systems have been extensively studied. However, investigation on impulsive control and synchronization of complex networks has just started. In these studies, a network is continuously coupled, and then is synchronized by using impulsive control strategy.

This paper makes three contributions. First, we present a simple theory of random systems. The main idea is to think of a probabilistic system as an equivalence class of distributions over deterministic systems. Second, we demonstrate how in this new theory, the optimal information-theoretic distinguishing advantage between two systems can be ...

Synchronization by Disorder in Coupled Systems
Physical Review Letters, 1996Effects of quenched disorder on a coupled map model of earthquakes are studied. In its original version, this model is known to display a self-organized critical distribution of avalanches. However, when some finite amount of quenched disorder is introduced, the bulk sites synchronize fully and a single stable system-wide avalanche appears.

Research on Coupling Risk of System of Systems
2010 Fifth IEEE International Symposium on Service Oriented System Engineering, 2010Coupling degree of Armament System of Systems is an important index to assess whole warfare capability of Armament System of Systems. The connotation of Armament System of Systems is researched in this paper, at the same time, coupling risk and the connection by building coupling risk model of Armament System of Systems is analyzed.

Coupled Quasiisotropic Systems
SIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics, 1985The author studies a system of isotropic operators and anisotropic source functions for several vector and scalar unknowns. Considering separately the case of a nondegenerate system and a partially degenerate system, he reduces the problem to two matrix equations - one for the vector unknowns and the other for the scalar ones - and obtains general ...

Rapidly increasing performance requirements of large applications have led to the development of closely coupled systems. These systems are characterized by large numbers of processing elements interconnected by some scalable high performance network. While these architectures provide the processing power required, additional operating system support ...

Controllability and observability of coupled systems
Proceedings of the 48h IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (CDC) held jointly with 2009 28th Chinese Control Conference, 2009We consider coupled systems consisting of a well-posed subsystem and a finite-dimensional subsystem connected in feedback. The external world interacts with the coupled system via the finite-dimensional subsystem, which receives the external input and sends out the output.

Systemic Couple Therapy for dysthymia.
Psychotherapy, 2014We examined the effect of Systemic Couple Therapy on a patient diagnosed with dysthymic disorder and her partner. Marge and Peter, a middle-aged married couple, showed significant and meaningful changes in their pattern of interaction over the course of the therapy and, by the end of it, Marge no longer met the diagnostic criteria for dysthymic ...

On a coupled water wave system
Physica Scripta, 1990Summary: Research in recent years shows that a number of physically significant problems can be modelled by coupled nonlinear wave equations. It is observed that most of those equations exhibit solitary wave solutions which reveal the important properties of the system concerned.
