Reduction of coupling capacitance, using a capacitor-transistor coupling circuit

2015 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ELECO), 2015
In this paper, a new coupling circuit is presented. This circuit uses a new method of subthreshold region biasing to decrease the value of coupling capacitor. In proposed circuit the Coupling capacitor is decreased about 98% in comparison with the ordinary capacitive coupling circuit. In addition, the proposed coupling circuit achieves higher linearity.

A New Carrier-Current Coupling Capacitor

Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1935
By means of coupling capacitors connected to high voltage power transmission lines, high frequency carrier currents in different frequency channels may be transmitted over the power lines for supplementary services such as relaying, control, and communication.

Capacitor coupling of GaAs defletion-mode f.e.t.s.

IEE Proceedings I: Solid State and Electron Devices, 1980
Integration of GaAs depletion mode f.e.t.s requires voltage level shifting between logic stages. Capacitor coupling provides such a shift without the need for additional power rails and with a high tolerance of process parameter variations; being passive, the level shifting consumes no additional power.

On coupling with EMI capacitors

2004 International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37559), 2004
So far, methodical design of EMI filters for power electronic applications fails, because coupling among the filters' components is not predicted accurately. A method of calculating coupling with EMI capacitors is presented. The method is verified by experimental results.

Capacitor coupling threshold logic

The 2002 45th Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2002. MWSCAS-2002., 2003
A novel high-speed dynamic CMOS capacitor coupling threshold logic (CCTL) family is proposed in this paper. In the proposed logic family, all the input signals are coupled to one transistor gate of a differential transistor pair through coupling capacitors. A reference signal is coupled to the other transistor gate of the transistor pair.

Synchronization of a network of intermittently coupled capacitor circuits

Proceedings of the 2003 International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2003. ISCAS '03., 2003
This paper studies synchronous phenomena of a network of N relaxation oscillators. The network is constructed by intermittently coupled capacitors. In order to analyze the phenomena, we introduce a hybrid return map of one real and N binary variables. We analyze basic synchronous phenomena and clarify their occurrence rates for initial values.

A chaotic network based on intermittently coupled capacitors

ISCAS'99. Proceedings of the 1999 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems VLSI (Cat. No.99CH36349), 2003
This paper studies a network of N chaotic cells with time-variant hysteresis using a concept of Intermittently Coupled Capacitors (ICC). The network exhibits interesting phenomena: synchronization of chaos, synchronization of periodic attractors and their co-existence phenomena. We clarify these phenomena theoretically using a mapping procedure.

Converse magnetoelectric coupling in multilayer capacitors

Applied Physics Letters, 2008
We report electrically induced changes of 20% in both the remnant magnetization and the coercive field of a magnetoelectric heterostructure. This heterostructure is an industrially produced multilayer capacitor comprising Ni-based magnetostrictive electrodes sandwiching a BaTiO3-based dielectric that is ferroelectric and therefore piezoelectric.

BASICS OF INDUCTIVE COUPLING AND ROLE OF DECOUPLING CAPACITORS

DYNA, 2022
Electromagnetic coupling is the mechanism by which one circuit induces noise or interference in another adjacent circuit. This coupling mechanism generates Electromagnetic Interferences that degrade or even interrupt the operation of adjacent circuits.

A network of relaxation oscillators based on intermittently coupled capacitors

2000 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems. Emerging Technologies for the 21st Century. Proceedings (IEEE Cat No.00CH36353), 2002
This paper presents N binary hysteresis relaxation oscillators connected by the intermittently coupled capacitors. The network exhibits various interesting synchronous phenomena. As a powerful analysis tool, we derive a hybrid return map which has one real and N binary states.
