AKAP13 couples GPCR signaling to mTORC1 inhibition
The mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1) senses multiple stimuli to regulate anabolic and catabolic processes. mTORC1 is typically hyperactivated in multiple human diseases such as cancer and type 2 diabetes. Extensive research has focused on signaling pathways that can activate mTORC1 such as growth factors and amino acids.

Misidentifications of specific forms of cross-frequency coupling: three warnings
Cross-frequency coupling between neural oscillations has received increased attention over the last decade, as it is believed to underlie a number of cognitive operations in different brain systems.

Direct coupling of haptic signals between hands [PDF]
Significance When we actively explore objects by touch, the brain receives two types of signals, tactile sensory inputs and signals about the exploratory movement, which must be combined to perceive the shape and location of objects in space.

Research on Series Arc Fault Detection Based on Higher-Order Cumulants
At present, the detection methods on series arc faults are mainly based on the current of the main circuit, which probably results in misjudgment because of the singularity of the normal working current in a nonlinear load.

An Analogue and Mixed-Signal Extension to SystemC
This paper presents a new methodology that enables extensions of SystemC to the analogue domain and allows modelling of mixed-signal and mixed energy-domain systems at arbitrary levels of abstraction.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.
