Theoretical analysis on the stiffness of compression–torsion coupling metamaterials
Extreme Mechanics Letters, 2021The compression–torsion coupling metamaterials constructed by cells based on chiral mechanism of inclined rods with weak transverse constraints, display superior compression–torsion properties among the metamaterials reported previously.

Coupled bending-torsional dynamic stiffness matrix for timoshenko beam elements
Computers & Structures, 1992Abstract Analytical expressions for the coupled bending-torsional dynamic stiffness matrix elements of a uniform Timoshenko beam element are derived in an exact sense by solving the governing differential equations of motion of the element. Application of the developed theory in the context of wings, blades and grillages is discussed with particular ...

Coupled bending–torsional dynamic stiffness matrix for axially loaded beam elements
International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, 1992AbstractAnalytical expressions for the coupled bending–torsional dynamic stiffness matrix elements of an axially loaded uniform beam element are derived in an exact sense by solving the governing differential equations of motion of the beam. The influence of axial force on the coupled bending–torsional frequencies of a cantilever and hinged–hinged beam

STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS OF MULTISTORY BUILDING USING COUPLED BEM-STIFFNESS MATRIX
Proceedings of the 4th International Conference on Computational Methods in Structural Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering (COMPDYN 2013), 2014This paper presents a structural analysis scheme for multistory buildings. In this analysis the boundary element method (BEM) is used to derive the stiffness. Such a matrix is coupled with the vertical skeletal elements using the traditional assembly procedures.

Coupled bending-torsional dynamic stiffness matrix of an axially loaded timoshenko beam element
International Journal of Solids and Structures, 1994Explicit expressions for dynamic stiffness matrix of an axially loaded, bending-torsion coupled beam with the effects of rotatory inertia and shear deformation are presented. The inversion of the \(6\times 6\) algebraic matrix and its following multiplication are performed by the symbolic computing package REDUCE.
