We study possible motivations for co-entreprenurial couples to start up a joint firm, using a sample of 1,069 Danish couples that established a joint enterprise between 2001 and 2010. We compare their pre-entry characteristics, firm performance and post-dissolution private and financial outcomes with a selected set of comparable firms and couples.

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Pneumatic flexible shaft couplings [PDF]
Main effort of every design engineer is reduction of torsional oscillation in any mechanical system. At present this problem can be solved by means of a suitable modification of dynamic properties of flexible shaft couplings according to dynamics in the ...

The process of internalization of the Shiga toxin A subunit via formation of a complex with the Shiga toxin B subunit, which specifically binds to the Gb3 receptor. The peptide is designed to act as a carrier of drugs into cancer cells. Here, we explored the potential of peptides derived from the catalytic A subunit of Shiga toxin (STxA) to be drug ...

Numerically optimized Markovian coupling and mixing in one-dimensional maps [PDF]
Algorithms are introduced that produce optimal Markovian couplings for large finite-state-space discrete-time Markov chains with sparse transition matrices; these algorithms are applied to some toy models motivated by fluid-dynamical mixing problems at ...

Iron-Catalyzed Enantioselective Multicomponent Cross-Couplings of alpha-Boryl Radicals [PDF]
Despite recent interest in the development of iron-catalyzed transformations, methods that use iron-based catalysts capable of controlling enantioselectivity in carbon-carbon cross-couplings are underdeveloped.

Investigating transcription factor dynamics in health and disease using FRAP
FRAP analysis of GFP‐tagged transcription factors reveals how molecular mobility and target engagement change in response to drug treatment. By combining live‐cell imaging, quantitative model fitting, and statistical analysis, this approach uncovers transcription factor dynamics linked to disease mechanisms, providing a powerful framework for ...

Physics is in its development a major challenge to relate fields, this paper presents a proposal to relate classical fields of physics, ie the electric field, magnetic field and gravitational equations by time-dependent. The proposal begins with the work that determines the Cauchy-Riemann conditions for quaternions [1], and the determination of Laplace’

Conserved binding mode but diverse interfaces of MreC‐PBP2 interactions
The crystal structure of abMreC reveals a conserved two β‐barrel architecture and provides structural insights into its role within the bacterial elongasome. The abMreC–abPBP2 complex model identifies the molecular basis of MreC‐mediated PBP2 recognition, contributing to the regulation of peptidoglycan synthesis.
