Microbiome‐blood–brain barrier interactions in aging — mechanisms and therapeutic potential
Aging reshapes the gut microbiome (↓SCFA‐producing commensals; ↑pro‐inflammatory outputs), shifting circulating metabolites (↓SCFAs; ↑LPS, ↑TMAO, ↑PAA) that act at the BBB to increase nonspecific transcytosis, alter transport, and promote astrocyte reactivity, heightening brain vulnerability.

We have demonstrated that air-stable cationic gold(I) cocatalysts have the capacity to enhance the efficiency of palladium-catalyzed cross-couplings. Specifically, we determined that a 1:1 [Pd{P(t-Bu)3}2]/[Au{P(t-Bu)3}(NTf2)] system provides superior ...

In this work, we use exact matrix diagonalization to explore the many-body localization (MBL) transitions in quantum Ising chains with disordered nearest-neighbour couplings, disordered next-nearest-neighbour couplings and disordered external fields.

The scale of new physics from the Higgs couplings to γγ and γZ
Measuring the Higgs couplings accurately at colliders is one of the best routes for finding physics Beyond the Standard Model (BSM). If the measured couplings deviate from the SM predictions, then this would give rise to energy-growing processes that ...

An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes
GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.

A 32-year-old woman was admitted with 4 days of bloody diarrhea, abdominal pain, leukocytosis, and fever following fast food consumption and use of methamphetamine. An abdominal CT scan revealed continuous colonic mural thickening from the cecum to the splenic flexure (Fig. 1).

We report herein on the synthesis of new heteroaryl analogues of PAd-DalPhos and related bis(di(o-tolyl)phosphino) ancillary ligand variants based on pyridine or thiophene backbone structures, and their application in nickel-catalyzed C(sp2)-N cross ...

T-duality of D-brane versus O-plane actions
It is known that, in the static gauge, the world-volume and the transverse Kaluza-Klein (KK) reductions of the O-plane effective actions on a circle satisfy the T-duality constraint for arbitrary base space background.

Animals must match their growth rate to available nutrients. We show that in Drosophila larvae, the nutrient‐sensing TOR kinase controls growth by regulating levels of TFAM, a key regulator of mitochondrial function, in the adipose tissue. When nutrients are abundant, high TOR activity suppresses TFAM, lowering mitochondrial bioenergetic activity and ...

Methyl α- and β-d-glucopyranuronides singly labeled with 13C at C1–C6 were prepared from the corresponding 13C-labeled methyl d-glucopyranosides, and multiple NMR J-couplings (JHH, JCH, and JCC) were measured in their protonated and ionized forms in ...
